I love the media fluid acrylics from DecoArt® and the Dazzling Metallics™ really add oomph!

It’s amazing how versatile a palette knife is. 90% of this painting was done with only the knife.

Using DecoFoil™ transfer sheets and adhesive glue I was able to add foil highlights.

Thermoweb Art

I am enjoying working with Therm-o-web’s DecoFoil™ as a wonderful enhancement to my artwork.

I am sharing some examples of what I have done with DecoFoil™ Transfer Sheets since my first experience creating my ballerina sculpture. The following pieces were created for Therm-o-web to display at a recent Trade Show. Therm-o-web provided me with the product to use in my work.

This 4-panel creation was painted with acrylics on canvas. I was at the point that I needed to add the finishing enhancements of shading and contrast and was about to complete the painting when I decided to use the DecoFoil™ Transfer Sheets instead. I’m ESPECIALLY thrilled with the shadow effect in front of the vase. It definitely makes more of a statement than if I had just used acrylic paint. What do you think?

“All Around Me” Mixed Media foil and acrylic on canvas board.

This impressionist Therm-o-web art is one of my favourite. I used DecoArt® acrylics on a canvas board.

I wish this painting showed better. It looks like enamel and it took me many hours to complete. I had to work on it, dividing it into many sections, allowing each section to become tacky so I could apply the foil.

I found myself all over the place this week (my head) and although I made a few cards, I really wanted to break out the watercolour paints. As I have mentioned in previous posts I will often use my painted papers in my cards.  The ‘mistakes’ often find themselves making an appearance wishing someone a ‘happy birthday’ or ‘get well soon’. 🙂

From a photo I took last summer. Yes, I was looking at my Group of Seven book on the deck shortly before I started this one.

I was looking at some photos I took while at the Marc Chagall museum in the south of France. This is my take on one of his favourite themes, The Jewish Wedding.
I would love to hear your comments!
