The new shapes and colours being offered in their self-adhesive gems is lovely. Studio g gems They also have beautifully painted buttons, clothespins, etc.

What I really like about Hampton Art is the variety of products and price.

Planning for The CHAShow 2016

I have been planning for the CHAShow 2016 for almost 5 months.

This is my first time attending the annual MEGA Craft & Hobby Association Convention in Anaheim, California, and the anticipation is building!  For the CHAMegaShow website: CLICK Here

What to do about the OVERLOAD of information to digest?CHA Show crazy housewifeAll my CHAshow-related emails are in their own folder. As I read through I am making notes of what booths and people I want to see. My registration info is there along with any special invites or important info I will need while I am at the show. All my travel info is in there, too.

I downloaded the CHAShow Mobile App for my cell and I’m taking the time to use it to its full potential.

chashow app

The CHAShow app Dashboard helps you navigate the show, input your schedule, make contacts, etc.

Make sure you take the time to add yourself to the attendees list so people can find you.

It also allows you to view the Exhibitors List and ‘mark off’ who you want to see. All the booths you check are highlighted on the accompanying map, and the app even suggests the most ‘optimal route’ for you to walk. 🙂 — That’s cool!

I have signed up for all the workshops that interest me (kept it to a minimum). I am also not arriving until late Friday night. I decided not to spend time or money this time on crafting workshops.

One of the first pieces of advice I was told a while ago was ‘Don’t over-schedule yourself and just focus on spending time on the Show Floor, browsing the booths, and networking.’ This is what I plan to do.

CHA Show goose

I have plenty of business cards and maybe a special somethin-somethin to go with each one I hand out. *wink — We Canadians have goodies up our warm, CanadaGoose sleeves 🙂CHA Show Cdn foodMy bag is partially packed. I am leaving lots of room to bring things back with me to Niagara Falls. 🙂  and my friend, Lisa, is bringing each of us ‘rolly suitcases’ to schlep all over the CHAShow to hopefully fill up with lots of creative inspiration!

CHA Canada logoI am looking forward to many get-togethers, and especially the CHA Canada meeting on Monday morning at 7:45. So ALL YOU Canadians better be there for coffee and noshes! I am a PROUD Canadian CHA member and would love everyone to become involved.

I am gettiRoberta excitedng SUPER excited about attending my FIRST CHA MegaShow next month.

A group of CHA Members got together to bring you this amazing blog hop and chance to win over $600!  Many thanks to the amazing Lisa Fulmer for organizing this hop.

What am I excited about?

  • Mostly, I can’t wait to see/meet certain people. There are creative individuals who I have been online friends with for years and years and I can’t wait to finally meet them.
  • There are friends who I originally met online but we have already met in person, and I can’t wait to see them again.
  • There are new products that I’m anxious to see and excited about being inspired in my work
  • I am finally going to meet Jonathan Fong!jonathan fong logo

Jonathan Fong

Here’s the thing: I think that as we get older it becomes harder and harder to find things that impress us, scare us, excite us, etc., SO, when something or someONE comes along that makes me look twice, I take notice. I get excited when I discover someone who inspires me or makes me laugh or makes me think. I realized I had a CRAFT CRUSH on Jonathan over one year ago.  I mean, how can you not love what this man does; his style, and his talents in design, writing, art and crafts? I think it was when I saw this picture of him that I knew:

What an adventure I had at the CHA PaperArts+ Show 2015 in Schaumburg, Illinois.

I’d like to thank CHA for making my attendance possible; I’m a very lucky girl!

This was my first CHA Show and I am happy to say that I loved every minute of it. Today I’m sharing with you pics from the 3 workshops I attended:

John Petersen loves what he does — and it shows! I loved the 2 workshops I took with him and learned a lot from him.  I can’t wait to break out the pastes and inks and create beautiful DIY projects for my home.
