See you at CHA MegaShow2016

I am gettiRoberta excitedng SUPER excited about attending my FIRST CHA MegaShow next month.

A group of CHA Members got together to bring you this amazing blog hop and chance to win over $600!  Many thanks to the amazing Lisa Fulmer for organizing this hop.

What am I excited about?

  • Mostly, I can’t wait to see/meet certain people. There are creative individuals who I have been online friends with for years and years and I can’t wait to finally meet them.
  • There are friends who I originally met online but we have already met in person, and I can’t wait to see them again.
  • There are new products that I’m anxious to see and excited about being inspired in my work
  • I am finally going to meet Jonathan Fong!jonathan fong logo

Jonathan Fong

Here’s the thing: I think that as we get older it becomes harder and harder to find things that impress us, scare us, excite us, etc., SO, when something or someONE comes along that makes me look twice, I take notice. I get excited when I discover someone who inspires me or makes me laugh or makes me think. I realized I had a CRAFT CRUSH on Jonathan over one year ago.  I mean, how can you not love what this man does; his style, and his talents in design, writing, art and crafts? I think it was when I saw this picture of him that I knew:

  1. Roberta dear! You are one I really want to meet and yes, I am coming too and thrilled to be there after five years and with my own designer badge too . Happy Hanukkah dear and see you there!

  2. I love all of the creative things you do. Great job on the blog.

My fave tool that I can’t live without is my Silhouette Cameo – it is the core of my creativity. The software is such a great design tool.

  3. I too adore Jonathan Fong… He is a true ambassador of style!

To answer your question about what tool I couldn’t live without is a hard question to answer… there are so many. But if I have to narrow it down to one, I think the big one for me would be my electric skillet of glue aka pan glue.

  4. My favorite “can’t live without it” craft tool can’t be narrowed down to just one — but I would have to say my new faves are all of the Finnabair products (i.e., mediums, powders, art basics, supplies). I got to take a class from Finn this year and it changed my art. I’m in love with her collage techniques and can’t wait to take classes from her again in January. Love the blog hop!

  5. So excited for you that you get to meet Jonathan! The one craft tool that I cannot live without is my my Fiskars Fingertip Craft Knife!

  6. I hope you get to spend some time with your “craft crush”. There is something about the love of crafting and how exciting it is to talk to people who love it as much as we do. There are NO strangers amongst crafters, it seems.
The tool I can’t live without is my Tonic paper cutter! Love that thing! LOL

  7. Do I really have to choose just one must have supply? If I must, it would have to be stamps as you can do so much with them and make them look different every time.

  8. It is going to be SO EXCITING – ENJOY EVERY MOMENT!!!
I will be savouring everyone’s experiences from afar via blogs, FB etc 🙂
PS – I can’t live without my self healing craft mat, it is part of every project I create. I use the cutting side to cut, the grid on the cutting side to align and the reverse side for when I am adhering layers together => YES, it is an AWESOME tool!!!

    1. Thank you, Tracy. I’m super excited. I agree about a good self-healing craft mat. The first one I owned was a huge, foldable Martha Stewart mat and I REALLY put it through its paces.

  9. One of my go to tools is my exacto knife with a sharp blade in it. It makes cutting and trimming on projects so much easier.

      1. No Roberta, I have not tried it. Sounds like I will have to get one. After I posted this, I thought of several other tools, that are so great. My electric pasta machine is so helpful in conditioning polymer clay. Love seeing and learning about new tools. Thanks for the recommendation.

  10. I love my Tim Holtz distress markers for both card making and scrapbooking. My collection is always on my crafting table within easy reach

  11. my favorite tool that I can’t live without is my paper trimmer. I use it everyday and have several brands. Scissors, punches, dies, diecutters etc.

  12. My favorite crafting tool is the internet; I have found so many blogs, sites, and videos to learn to make cards, ornaments and boxes (who knew there were so many and varied options available?).
